Information for Schools and Educators
Courses Offered
The Chapter offers
several programs to schools. Some of these programs are well suited to being
taught during the school day, and we are happy to order materials and curriculum
for teachers.
A great
time to
implement
these
programs is during health and safety weeks to promote awareness of a certain
health and safety topics. We will work with you to figure out what is best
for your school and students and send an instructor to your school. To learn
more about any of the courses and costs for the various materials, please contact

Facing Fear – Grades K-12
This curriculum gives students experience in talking about frightening events that they hear or see reported in the media and hear discussed at school and home. In the aftermath of tragic events children can feel overwhelmed with concerns of safety, security and trust. By finding positive avenues for expressing their concerns and need for involvement, initial negative reactions to the event may begin to diminish. Working to guide children in positive directions can be an important aspect of the healing process.
Addresses dealing with feelings of loss, sadness, and anger in the time following a tragic event.
