American Red Cross Youth Vision Statement

Red Cross Youth

"The American Red Cross educates, encourages, and empowers youth to be role models in their communities, so—as current and future leaders—they can further the mission and Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross and touch more lives nationwide and around the world."

Service Projects

The Northern Vermont Chapter recognizes five different categories of service projects that count toward an "Outstanding Service Award." Please review the requirements for this award if your club would like to be eligible to participate. Make sure you fill out an Activity Report Form each time you complete a service project, even if you do not wish to be a candidate for the "Outstanding Service Award." This will help us to keep you informed about what other clubs are doing and will also help us to make accurate reports to our national office.

"Outstanding Service Award"

For a club to earn the "Outstanding Service Award," it must complete a total of ten service projects from each of five categories according to the following requirements:

  • Three service projects from the "Service to the Community" category
  • Two projects from the "Service Through the Red Cross" category
  • Two projects from the "Service to School and Students" category
  • One project from the "Service to the World" category
  • Two projects from the "Prevention" category

Recognition will be given at the end of the school year for any number of service projects done by a club.

Please fill out an Activity Report Form as soon as you complete a project. You may fill out the online form or request a paper copy from the Northern Vermont Chapter. The paper copy form can be mailed or faxed, or it can be dropped off at the chapter.
